Just me, or is this 2 weak weeks in a row?

I read that a lot on the etopps message boards, and I always wonder what people consider a strong week. What would you want to see to make it a strong week?

To be honest man, I only keep Cubs players. The rest of what I like to see are
the highly collectible/big stat guys that I can flip right away to the guys who
play the eTopps games. In the past, I've made quite a few quick profits, which
I turn around right away for Dawson/Williams PC stuff on the Bay.

I don't think etopps ever advertised itself as free money. It seems like they are doing one superstar and one highly regarded rookie a week and then filling in with vets for the game or 2nd tier rookies. Maybe not great for flipping, but I don't think it's really weak in comparison to any other etopps week. For vets they have the most popular player in the game in Jeter (also doing well for the games) and Kinsler who should be good for the games. For rookies they have Andrus for the good rookie offering and then a Red Sox rookie which can always be a good thing.

The 2008 Cap'n Jeeta sells for $1 less than IPO on card target.

I bought that one last year thinking it was a no-brainer,
and ended up selling it for $.50 less than IPO. ::facepalm::

That was my only sale for a loss.
I sold WBC cards of Darvish & Aoki earlier this year for $20 apiece :D
Overall, I have definitely made $$ buying eTopps.

I guess as a former etopps collector I look at it differently. It's great when you make a profit, but to think you should be able to make a profit each week is crazy. It's that mentality that actually makes etopps less profitable. How many people are there that just want to flip etopps cards vs. the number that actually collect? If the sales numbers actually stayed in line with the numbers that people wanted you wouldn't see as many IPO's tank. I'd love to be able to buy Lebron James rc's for $10 and flip for $30 each week, but quick flips like that aren't easy to come by in etopps, on ebay, or in packs.
