It was nice to see the reception Nomar got in his first game back at Fenway - steroids or not, I liked the guy when he was here.
Smoltz not looking so good, Brett Anderson is.

The story in the A's/Sox game so far is Brett Anderson.

They said his fastball hit 97 a couple of times in his last outing and he's currently sitting at 95.

He's one hitting the Sox so far and has K'd five through 4 IP.

Not to take anything away from Anderson, but he is pitching against the Red Sox AAAA lineup...Bates, Baldelli, and Lugo are in the lineup to go along with the blackholes of Varitek and Papi...

The Flyin' Hawaiian is 3-3 with a homer, walk, 2 doubles, 3 rbi and 4 runs, and the game is only half over.
