My response was going to be that the teams are payng for more than just their stats (leadership, fan favorites/put bodies in seats, marketing on TV, etc) until...I saw Ramon Hernandez on that list

I shook my head in disbelief when they gave Matthews that contract after his fluke year. I could've seen like a 2 year deal with the money he gets...
