The most homeruns ever hit by both teams in a single 9 inning game is 12, done by the Tigers and White Sox twice, once in 1995 and once in 2002.

The most homeruns by a single team in a 9 inning game is 10, done by Toronto in 1987.

Jay Justin Clarke once went 8-8 in a minor league game and all 8 hits were homeruns. In more than 500 major league games spanning 9 seasons, he hit a grand total of 6 homeruns.

BTW, he died on the 47th anniversary of his 8 homerun game.
