Cody Adams, Milwaukee's second-round pick in the 2008 Draft, was among six Minor Leaguers suspended 50 games for performance-enhancing drugs on Friday.
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that six Minor League players have received 50-game suspensions after each tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Adams received a 50-game ban after testing positive for an amphetamine. The Southern Illinois University product, selected No. 62 overall in the '08 Draft, was 3-6 with a 5.93 ERA in 16 appearances, including a dozen starts, for the Brewers' Class A Midwest League affiliate, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
