The "bow" comes from a trick played on the eyes by the change in contrast on the bottom of the card. It's even all around.
I don't know why anyone would fake a base Ruth biography card. It's no tlike it's game used or something.

I would say it's legit.. These had bat material, and they had some metal almost like copper in the other ones..
I saw this one on ebay as well..
