Just watching TWIB and they had the Hall of Fame game on and it had a bunch of older players and HOF players. Would a "Senior" League work in baseball?

Im not talking about the real old guys but guys who recently retired and are still in playing shape but cant handle the 162 marathon of the MLB. Guys like Molitor, Brett, Finley, Kent and im sure there are plenty other guys who could be added to the list.

They have a 6 team league and play 5 to 7 inning games and play a 25-30 game season.

If it was ran like the AFL, which sounds like what you're suggesting, that sounds pretty cool.
(6 teams, 30 or so games)
It could even be done in the same stadiums after the AFL is complete
(giving Phoenix YEAR-ROUND-BASEBALL!!!!)

The main attraction for fans would probably be player interaction though, as opposed to watching competitive baseball, so the players would have to be those who don't mind signing autos or talking to fans. Not sure how any money would be made, or how players would get paid though, because I can't see this being a huge attraction for a month straight, so tickets would have to be kinda cheap to fill seats.

What if it was a softball league and they did it in Feb. before spring training... or even during spring training since the fans would be there anyway. Thye could do the games at night.
