My guess would have been Mark Whiten do it when he had his 4 HR game with 12 RBI...but no

The MLB record for grand slams in one game is 2 and has been done by 13 players.
1) Tony Lazzeri - New York Yankees - 1924
2) Jim Tabor - Boston Red Sox - 1939
3) Rudy York - Boston Red Sox - 1946
4) Jim Gentile - Baltimore Orioles - 1961
5) Tony Cloninger - Atlanta Braves - 1966
6) Jim Northrup - Detroit Tigers - 1968
7) Frank Robinson - Baltimore Orioles - 1970
8) Robin Ventura - Chicago White Sox - 1995
9) Chris Hoiles - Baltimore Orioles - 1998
10) Fernando Tatís - St. Louis Cardinals - 1999
11) Nomar Garciaparra - Boston Red Sox - 1999
12) Bill Mueller - Boston Red Sox - 2003

13) Josh Willingham - Washington Nationals - 2009

Fernando Tatís is the only player in MLB history to hit two grand slams in one inning. Tony Cloninger is the only pitcher to hit two grand slams in one game

I was at the game Nomar hit two. His third HR was a two run shot. Almost hit a fourth that game. Amazing night it was.

I was at game where Hee-seop Choi hit a Grand Slam, 3 run, 2 run, and solo home run in the same game for the Iowa Cubs. Possibly the first and only Cycle of Home Runs.

I was at that game. Happened at the Jack. Still have the tickets and an auto'd 8x10 framed together.
It was an awesome feat to experience.

A minor leaguer named Gene Rye, IIRC, did it in the 30s. I'll find a citation when I get home.

I'm thinking usually after 2, they pitch around them on the third.

That struck me as funny. Having the bases loaded makes it tough to 'pitch around' him, but I suppose it's possible, 4 > 1 and all that.
