There have only been 18 seasons where teams averaged 6 or more Ks per game. 16 of those 18 seasons are the past 16 seasons (1994-2009). The other two are 1986 (6.01 Ks per game) and 1987 (6.00 Ks per game).
2009 Batting Averages:

Fly Balls (7043/31534) = .223 with 2205 doubles, 348 triples, 2963 HRs, and 827 sac flies
