This is coming from ESPN Fantasy Baseball News Spin

"Freeman may be out for the rest of the season due to a hand injury. "He's been playing in pain for the last couple of weeks with a bad hand. It's probably time to shut him down," Mississippi manager Phillip Wellman told the Chattanooga Times Press."

"Spin: Freeman was hitting just .205 in his last ten games with no extra base hits, so the hand was clearly hurting him. He hit .282/.363/.408 overall between High-A and Double-A even with the hand injury. While he's not getting the hype of Jason Heyward, he's still just 19 and playing at Double-A. He could see the major leagues in 2010 and be a fixture in the lineup as soon as 2011."

I think ThoseBackPages, Gilmore and DMC are simultaneously banging their heads against the wall.

Sorry, guys. That blows. Wonder who will be taking his spot in the AFL.

Heyward isn't in tonight's lineup. Hope he's ok.

Good thing to do with only 2 weeks left in the season. All that is left for him to do is pick up his Player of Year plaque for Mississippi or Myrtle Beach in ATL at the end of the year.

i think a lot of people forget that the MILB season ends on average a month prior to the MLB season.
