Marlins recalled outfielder Cameron Maybin from Triple-A New Orleans.
Maybin isn't likely to steal significant playing time from any of the Marlins' current outfielders. He'll be used mainly as a late-innings pinch-runner or defensive replacement.

Sounds like there will be no pressure on him this time around like there was at the beginning of the year when everyone expected him to be what he was advertised to become. This often leads to good things.

::facepalm::

So he spends the whole season in AAA, puts up excellent numbers throughout while keeping his K rate down, only to be rewarded by being part of the 2nd string?

Ri-gdamn-diculous.

We don't need his 4 K's per game....

Then why call him up at all, if you feel as though he can't improve? You seriously think that's going to be his daily line throughout his career?

How quickly we forget about his 16-32 start last September.

Maybin right now looks like the guy who won't hit more than 10 or 12 HR a year in the majors. McCutchen is looking like the guy everyone projected out of Maybin.

No way Cutch keeps up these power numbers up right now. He's only got 13 HR's in his last 750AB's in the minors.

Yeah and Hanley Ramirez had 12 in his last 833 AB's in the minors.

Cutch has power man. Expect it. His homerun tonight was a straight linedrive in straight away center...He doesn't really pull the ball and try hit them either.

I would be real real suprised if Cutch was 5'11. I am thinking more like 5'9ish. Cutch will never be on Hanley's level power wise, and I am a huge Cutch fan.
