I'm interested in the following card: [ebay:2tb0tbkz]260472917574[/ebay:2tb0tbkz]

I'm wondering about the "rareness" of these cards and what would be fair for anything in the set.

I know what the guy has his reserve set at, and if it's fair, I'd like to take a shot.

Thanks.

I can not help you on price, I know there was a Beckett article a few months after the set was released following some of the pricesm which were extremely high. Obviously 8 year old information is way out dated but at least its a benchmark. I have seen numbered versions and unnumbered versions. I paid $60 for mine which I thought was a steal considering it's Sp to 3 and actually my favorite card in my collection. I don't think you can really go wrong with the purchase of the card regardless of price (within reason of course)

I have the Albert Belle numbered out of 88 and I paid around $50 for it. The signed copies of this set are really nice in person and don't pop up that often. A lot of times ones that do pop up are unnumbered replacement copies that were sold when Fleer liquidated their assets.

I have 3 of the 17 Mark Grace's. In Mark's case, it was his first autograph card. And being so limited, and then with the World Series win in November, this card was through the roof. He didn't have another autograph until 2003. So for three years, it was a $200-$250 card. I've seen 5 of them total over the years. I managed to get one of my 3 for $80 (last one I've seen sell), but the others have all sold over $170.00. One of my favorite cards!

Pulled the trigger on it at $130

I don't care. Those early decade, on-cards are usually too good to pass up.

Fleer had some great ideas, but how can anyone trust them after they basically sold all their inventory and
stickers and such to the highest bidder? I wouldn't trust anything fleer.

It was a bankruptcy. They were probably court-ordered to sell their assets to the highest bidder.

Also, these cards were issued years before that. And I don't see anyone who doubts these autos were real. I certainly don't.

That's a great set, I wish Biggio was in it. I wouldn't hesitate to pay $130 for that card. And if there was a Biggio it would probably go for even more because it would be /7. I love on-card autos and those are nicely designed.
