Hopefully this is a start to a torrid September so he can at least get up to a subpar year :?

He looked real good in the minors during his demotion. He'll never hit over .250 in the bigs.

Totally agree. I can take 1 per day. Okay, more realistically, 3 per week.
2010 will be an interesting year for him.

As for the .250 I have to disagree. This year was a fluke, okay, no problem, let's move on. I think he'll be more of a .270 to .280 long term. 30/30 player.
Ah, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Could also be a matter of team. Last year the D-Backs did decently, so did Young. This year, not looking good at all. A possible link? A state of mind on the team that doesn't match with the player? Again, time will tell.

Looks like this is becoming the official Chris Young thread.

So, one more... he's going to "save" his season by hitting over .200 maybe get to .220 (I'd like to see around .250 but this year no chance.

Next year, I say .270. I agree with darocker80, 25/25 for sure, 30/30 if he bounces back. Next year will definately be exciting if he starts playing the way he playing now.
