The Atlanta suburbs
7 innings pitched (or more) with 9 strikeouts and no earned runs.

What this will do:
With 51 ER allowed in 223.1 IP, he needs 230.1 IP to get his ERA below 2.00. With 6 2/3 innings, it will still be at 2.00, but goes below 2.00 when he finishes the inning.

Strikeout #9 will be #246 on the season, which will break the Royals single season record set by Dennis Leonard.

It sure would be nice to see him go 17-8 with a 1.99 ERA, and take home the AL CYA.

From Opening Day through 5/26, he was 8-1 in 10 starts (Royals were 8-2 in those starts) with a 0.84 ERA and 81 Ks in 75 IP.

From 5/31 to 8/19, he was 3-7 in 15 starts (Royals were 3-12 in those 15 starts) with a 3.66 ERA and 101 Ks in 98.1 IP.

Since 8/25, he has been 5-0 in 7 starts (Royals were 6-1 in those 7 starts), with a 0.72 ERA and 55 Ks in 50 IP.

Amazing he did all this when
He palys on a crap team with no defense let alone very little offense
and the park is not the best place to play in either.

This should be a very interesting few days of baseball. It looks like the M's have slated Felix for two more starts - including one tonight.

Regardless who wins between Greinke and Felix, it has been an amazing year watching these two boys transform into the best pitchers in the league.

I just hope Felix hasn't pitched himself into a new contract that involves him wearing Pinstripes.
