Yeah, that one stuck in my craw for a long time.

Turned out eBay gave me the refund without going thru Paypal. I convinced them (rightly) that it was an altered card and they gave me the money back. I tried to tell the guy I bought it from that it was fake, but he wouldn't listen.

I used that refund to buy a bunch of other nice stuff.

There was a massive thread about it back in the day. (wonder if that's still live anywhere?) EDIT: I guess it is, FYI

I've decided to make a bat barrel my number 2 now. According to Beckett, there are 24 in existance. I let the Topps Sterling one slip thru my fingers almost a year ago.
