I am surprised that Matzek is ahead of Friedrich. After his performance last year in a tough league and the way BA seemed to like him on the hot sheets, I was expecting Friedrich to be ranked pretty highly on the top 100 list this year. Oh well, #2 is not THAT bad :D Overall, this looks like a pretty decent system. Throw in recent MLBers like Gonzalez, Fowler, Morales and the youth of Tulo and Ubaldo, and the future looks bright in Denver.

Yikes, from 1st to fourth. List looks adequate. To tell you the truth, I enjoy the other list, but Matzek being in first...I think my price range for the super might just pass me by. :x

Unless Morales becomes what he was in the first month of Street's departure/injury, I could care less for him. Sigh, if only Taylor Buchholz was a lefty...

Didn't think Charlie Blackmon would crack the top 10, but that's OK with me.

Other than that, what's Chacin's future?

I never understood why everyone was shitting on BDPP this year.

Sure, there's no huge autos (tate, aside) but the highschool crop of pitchers this year was pretty good and mosst of them found their way into the autograph checklist.

With that said...

Wheeler should be above Young Jr., IMHO.

He appears pretty level-headed, has a good swing, plays the field..

He's not going to smash-kill homers, but he'll definitely be a contributor.

Man, compare and contrasting this list to the '09 reminds me of when Joe Koshansky was set and ready to become our starting first basemen due to Todd Helton's expected results in SP. I recall - even I - was ready to throw in the towel and call it an end of an era. Glad he's back in business. Too bad Joe's with the Brewers where his obstacle is Prince.

This should open a few eyes and raise a few brows. From the chat:

Virgil Dahl (Waterloo, Iowa): Tracy; one more comp on Matzek. Can you envision a comparison againt Kershaw down the road?? thanks again

Tracy Ringolsby: I would say he is a shade ahead of Kershaw, potentially, in all areas.

They totally messed up that list. This guy should have been #1, hands down!

Hm? The cowboy said that? I dearly hope we don't have a fiasco year similar to '08, in which Greg Reynolds was given a role too large to handle. Subsequently: Franklin Morales.
