I am a geek for stuff like this.

I just got done watching the live presser and he has switched from 15 to 7.

He said that it's because Mantle wore 7, and that he offered Pujols a watch, but he wouldn't take it!

Maybe the Cardinals have intentions on retiring Edmonds number one day, or he chose 7 for his 7 year contract. Or just because he said he likes single digits. I do as well.

If someone were to claim 3, 1-10 could all be retired one day for St. Louis.

1. Oz
2. Red
3. ?
4. Yadi
5. Pull Hoes
6. Manly Stanley
7. Matty
8. Einar Diaz! (I KID) Rasmus should switch to this.
9. Slaughter
10. Don Tony

A question? Since his jersey number, is now another. Is the fifteenth printed card now simply another card in the set? Or, are both fifteen and seven, premium cards to get, for jersey-card collectors?

I use to be one of those collectors, and for me it was based on what the number on the jersey was, that is pictured on the card.

im not big into serial numbers matching jersey numbers either but i would want whatever number he is wearing now, regardless of what number he is wearing on the card.

I like the switch. I associate 15 with Edmonds.

Me too, and I associate Edmonds with Judas, so I never liked Holliday wearing the number in the first place.

Hopefully Holliday can wipe the DL Drew stink off the number that's been lingering for years.

I thought Mantle's number was retired throughout baseball....or was that topps retiring that number in their sets?

Robinson is the only guy who is retired league wide.

I thought the same thing.

Oh believe me, I have a brand new BlackBerry to remind me of that play everyday!

I think my phone was shattered up against the wall before that ball even hit the ground after it pounced off his sack.

That's cool.

How'd you enjoy your 78-84 season? ;)[/quote:3drsapwj]

How did you enjoy your 1st round exit ;)

The Reds just got to start golfing one week earlier..

Good. I have an Edmonds t-shirt that felt weird to wear with Holliday wearing 15. (sorry Sam, I know you hate Edmonds, but I'm a lefty, so I went with him. Anybody can wear a Pujols shirt.)

The sad thing is, Edmonds used to be one of my most favorite Cardinals.

But the dude had to go all Judas and sign with the North Siders and then trash Tony LaRussa and St. Louis in the media.

Now he wants to come back and kiss ass.

Well eye-liner wearing boy, it's going to take a LONG time to make up for what you did pal.

I do find it cool that he married some chick who is from like not even 15 miles from where I live, and that I know several people who actually know her.

Sam,

I bet you love listening to Kevin Slaten ...............

I know I do

That signing made me think of this:

Matt Holliday = Alfonso Soriano

I'm much more of a Matthew Leach kind of guy.

He always responds to my Tweets during the Cardinals games.

Seems like a pretty cool guy.

Slaten and Bernie are douches.
