i did once before with a firewire cord. figured i'd do the same. little problem though- the new macbook has no firewire port

the apple lady said an ethernet cord might work but she doesn't seem like she has a clue, and i'm on hold. i know prozac and philip j fry are very tech savvy, anyone else know?

flashdrive?

way too time consuming. firewire is able to do everything via drag and drop, i'm wondering if ethernet can do the same. my itunes is about 40-50 gb of stuff, my flash drive is 2gb and only lets me drag about 65 songs at a time.

Ethernet will work, just add the computer to your "network."

Also, you should be able to do it through Bluetooth if both have it.
