Jonathan Broxton (25) to a two-year extension.
Russell Martin (25) earned a one year deal--and a raise despite a disappointing 2009.
Andre Ethier (27) to a two-year extension.
Matt Kemp (25) also signed a two-year deal.
Chad Billingsley (25) signed for one year.
James Loney (25) inked a one-year extension.

Dodgers fans have to be excited about re-signing this nucleus. Not only are these players important for the team, but they'd also all be included in discussions for top players under 30.

Hopefully the money issues will be resolved in the McCourt divorce--but at this point I'm happy about the deals and hope these guys get long-term deals in the end.

Last year, Billingsley was almost first to 10 wins in the NL then hit a bump and was basically a non-factor in the Dodgers' playoff run. If he wraps his head around the fact that he has great stuff his $20 Chromes are a steal.

That's what people were saying last year.
