When Topps originally announced that they were releasing 2010 Topps Pro Debut, I openly wondered how this would impact Bowman, which relies fairly heavily on prospects. The concept of having the same players in two (or more) separate sets, one in minor-league uniforms and one in ‘major league’ ones just felt redundant to me. With the 2010 baseball season fast approaching, we have more information now on 2010 Bowman baseball to answer these questions. Admittedly, my recent preview was more than a bit snarky, with some justification.

2010 Bowman Baseball is the 7th product for Topps in what is likely to be a very busy baseball season for the company. The set will feature 220 players broken down into 190 veterans, 30 rookies, and then an additional 110 prospects, which is similar to the past few years. New this year will be horizontal cards for all of the veterans, which should lead to some interesting photographs, I hope.
