I've tried to look at completed auctions to get an idea but I just wanted to bounce this off the boards as I know there are some people here very knowledgeable on this subject - what do you think a PSA 7 1951 Bowman Willie Mays' current market value is? Does ~$3300 seem about right?

Also, I'm assuming that the price would go up significantly from there for a PSA 8?

Thanks in advance for the help,
Jason

You should probably also check the PSA registry board at http://forums.collectors.com/categories.cfm?catid=37. Guys over there know values very well. $3300 for a 7, seems a bit high to me, maybe a 10-20% high, but 7s come in all sorts of eye appeal, so it depends on exactly what it looks like. And yes, prices go up exponentially for higher grades.
