2001 Topps Tribute Retired Jersey Edition
I got Hank Aaron, Gil Hodges, and Reggie Jackson in today.
This is topical for two reasons:
1. The discussion of Aparicio's retired number today
2. The recent discussion of what GU will hold value. This was one of the very first ultra-high-end products, in that it retailed at 50 a pack (with no autos!). Does that mean it will hold value? I have no idea, but I don't care. I love HOFers. I chose the photos for this set when I worked at Topps. And I know for a fact that these GU items are legit, as each item had to pass third-party authenticity before being cut up (and several items slated for the product didn't make it). I don't think Topps is doing that these days...
Anyway, enjoy, and if anybody has any that aren't shown here, let me know what you need for them! (I have doubles of the Alston, Carlton, and Dickey FT)
