From today's "Ask BA":

1. David Price, lhp, Rays
What he showed us in the postseason was just the beginning.
2. Matt Wieters, c, Orioles
He could be Mark Teixeira—as a catcher.
3. Brett Anderson, lhp, Athletics
The best player Oakland got in the package for Dan Haren.
4. Trevor Cahill, rhp, Athletics
It will be fun to watch his friendly rivalry with Anderson.
5. Neftali Feliz, rhp, Rangers
Just one reason the Braves wish they could undo their Teixeira trade.
6. Tim Beckham, ss, Rays
Yet another multitalented star-in-the-making for Tampa Bay.
7. Eric Hosmer, 1b, Royals
He could be the best of all the special hitters K.C. has drafted recently.
8. Lars Anderson, 1b, Red Sox
Even if Boston signs Teixeira, it will find room for Anderson in 2010.
9. Travis Snider, of, Blue Jays
Of these 10 guys, he might make the biggest 2009 impact in the majors.
10. Mike Moustakas, 3b, Royals
In a few years, he and Hosmer could combine for 70 homers annually.

I'm glad to see two A's in there. Beckham is being highly overrated though.

Considering the mancrushes Jim has on both Lars and Moose, I was surprised at T-Beck's ranking as well.

Did he give an NL top 10?

No, because BA has only done their Top 10 lists for A.L. teams, with the exception of 3 N.L. East teams.

I too was a little surprised to see him listed so high. Disappointed also since I was planning on buying a few of his autos and this listing can only cause a slight spike in the price

Wow, I've always been a Cahill fan but I did not expect him this high.

Just because his cards don't sell for crazy prices, doesn't mean hes not a top 5 pitching prospect.

Really like the list, there might be a few that could be tinkered with but an overall pretty solid ranking (it's hard to argue with the talent provided on the list). I agree with other's who have posted that Beckham is a bit overrated (I'm not so sure that he belongs on this list, but as I wrote before, it is pretty hard to argue with the talent/potential provided). I like Hosmer above Mous (I fully agree with this), yet am a bit confused on thier organizational Royals team ranking that had #1.Mous over #2.Hosmer...kinda puzzling as this list contradicts that one(?), but I understand this is just one man's ranking's (like the other list was probably a different man's ranking's) :D !
