I singled this guy out when I saw that his cards weren't really selling on the secondary market.


I started buying and buying, luckily I got up a sizeable stash, since his cards have picked up in price.


Base were 9-12 at release, and now with less being listed they are up a bit.


Even after this small tick, I think he is still under priced...

I was thinking about scooping up some Myers myself but they will prob be $25+ after this thread.

Ha! JK Gilmo. I think that a lot of the Elite is staying cheaper because of the impending release of 10 Bowman. The one thing that ppl don't pay attention to is the fact that when a prospect pops, his Elite jumps just like the Bowman products. (see Heyward) I just had to remind myself that this made sense so I could justify purchases.

I liked Myers Gilmore, nice pickups at that price. I still think David Renfroe sells too low. 8 bucks for base autos are steals in my opinion. I have 15 base, 4 TOTC, 3 asp/100 and 1 status/50. I'm loving 09 elite this year

AROLDIS CHAPMAN AND HIS 100-MPH FASTBALL. HIS CARDS SHOULD GO THROUGH THE ROOF IF HIM AND THE REDS DO WELL THIS SEASON.

Scouting Report: Solid offensive approach with a terrific baseball acumen. Average-to-above-average present power with potential to add more down the line. Hits to all fields with a smooth swing and good bat speed. Athletic, but speed is just average or a tick above average. Smart in the field and on the basepaths. Very good glove with average-to-above-average range. Plus arm. Probably projects as a third baseman down the line, especially if he grows into his frame.

I have to agree with you. Big discussions have gone into the future position, but I agree so much. It also helps that he was not on the preliminary 2010 Bowman checklist.

He won't be an aaron boone that's for sure. Sox Prospect comps are awful generally, they compare Rizzo to Helton which is a stretch.

I have only bought in to 3 guys so far Wil Myers and Chris Owings (former SC signed players) and Renfroe (Boston guy). Most of the prices are still reasonable but Myers is starting to get a little steep.

haha not a bad Gilmore, I paid I beleve either 39 or 37 for mine. That's a solid price on it. Just don't go buying anymore on me, ;)
