Anyone else see the spike in prices of 2010 Topps? Anyone know a reason behind this?

As mentioned in another post, the Million Card codes have jumped from a buck to 3-4 dollars. That's a lot of added value in a case.

How long do you predict the redemption cards/codes sustain this sort of value?? Makes me wish I saved mine instead of redeeming, although I have six (hopefully) in an unopened box I still have...

This is wholesale pricing, what its costing people to replace product.

I just didn't think there would be this spike. How long do you think it will last Andrew?

Honestly...this is so retarded. I mean...who am I to say you can't collect what and how you want but lets be realistic...your chances of pulling a redemption card that net you something worthwhile are so slim on this. I just can't see legitmate collectors or even casual ones thinking this is a good idea to try to do. What would be any different from this than me going out and busting every hobby box I could to find one or maybe a few particular cards that were real hard to come by? By the time you found your card, if you even could find it, you are into it for several Large. What the hell good is that?

Sorry if I sound rude or like and a-hole. This just doesn't make any sense to me.

Yeah, when you think about it, people want to pull redemptions for the same reason why people want to pull anything out of a box. The odds of getting a good redemption are as good as pulling a 1/1. And what he said ^^^

To some its not about the money but the nostalgia.

I think it's more about the chase, which is why people bust boxes or buy lottery tickets in the first place. If you just wanted nostalgia, you could just buy commons of your favorite childhood heroes on Ebay

I understand what you're saying, but the redemption program is like being able to pull a random piece of nostalgia from a pack - the preferred way the older generations preferred to get their cards!

Go buy one of those Tri-Star, Ruth chase re-pack boxes. You can pull all the 85-92 topps you can handle.

Um, right... You may have noticed the odds here are more than a little better of pulling something fun if not decent.

It's like 6 or 10 extra hits per box now.

Really good cards have been getting redeemed. I think we all thought it would be nothing but junk from the 80s and 90s with an occasional vintage card but along with that junk have been a lot of really nice stuff.
