I liked the kid when he was drafted by man, has he sucked BIG.

Im still trying to hold on him but can anyone here......someone....give me a reason (besides hes 20) to keep?

His avg is beyond horrible
His OBP is isnt even good as a batting avg.
He strikes out like hes Mark Reynolds.
He cant throw anyone out
No batters eye

he was 19 a month ago.

I just watched him in person homer off Anibal Sanchez in the Marlins / Hoppers exhibition game. Swing looked nice.

Actually pretty good swing mechanics, though he got a bit out of sink last year trying to make things happen. Good bat speed. Very possible that he gets moved out from behind the plate to concentrate on hitting if he struggles this year - HS catchers usually have a tough time adjusting to the grind.

He is improving, but is still 2 years away at least....
No reaosn to sell now, he has seemed to bottom...

I would say 4-5 years out. It is hard to imagine him at AA next year, that is likely 2 years.

I have nothing against the kid, I am rooting for him.

I have an addiction to prospecting Catchers and it all started with Ben Davis.

But my problem is that I dont learn from prospecting Catchers because all I keep remembering is all the moola I made off of Mauer.

So with that being said, I just added a new Skipworth to my collection.
