I'm pretty sure that the issue here is that there often is not enough material to accommodate all of the letters. Some letters would simply would not have the material available around them to make a nice looking card, and I think that that is why they do it this way.pigskincardboard said:Seriously.

It's a cut-out letter.
Did they need to use the other parts of the jersey in swatches? I'd be pretty upset if I got any player other than Pujols and the card looked like that.
I can't respect that card.
