Nothing like opening this thread and reading that Mike Stanton has just gone yard for the 7th time, right folks? He doesn't care what time of day it is - he just cranks the ball out of the park. Send him to N'awleans - he's too good for AA.

2-run jack in the 1st. Go, Mikey!

Today's notable starters:

Stephen Strasburg at Reading -- could very well be his final AA start, which is what I'm predicting. This time, he'll have to face off against Dom Brown (he was out with concussion during his last start).

Also:

Travis Wood
Tim Alderson
Mark Rogers
Mauricio Robles
Nick Barnese
Arodys Vizcaino

SEND. HIM. TO. NEW. ORLEANS.

The kid has absolutely nothing left to prove to the SL.

That's 6 jacks and 15 RBI in his past 10 games, for those counting.

First HR was a shot opposite field...this second one went even farther to left field...by the foul pole..."long gone" as the announcer said on their broadcast!

Now Stanton gets a walk. They're terrified of him.

He's now got as many BB's as K's, btw.

I still think he should stay another month or two in AA. I want to see some sustained success rather than 2 weeks of pownding pitchers, especially after his brief stint in AA last year. Give him another month, then send him to New Orleans.

They want rain all day and thunderstorms tonight. This game will real hit or miss.

The best part is, he'll get at least another AB. Let's hope they don't intentionally walk him.

Josh Bell and Dayan Viciedo must be jealous, because they both just went yard for the second time as well.

What is in the air today????

EDIT: Hey Rev -- your boy Wilson Ramos went deep as well.

The guy is in a zone and will probably be walked next time. I guess we know the BA #1 guy if he just have an avg. rest of the week.

I own 1 of his cards. Pulled last week from some losse packs of chrome.
