Does anyone know what, exactly, the odds are of pulling an Elite insert? I know they're numbered to 10,000, but we're talking about the early 90s so it could still be 1:100 packs, but I've still NEVER pulled one, and I've purchased way to much of the stuff to not have one.

Still, it's cheaper to buy boxes than it is to buy one of the 'good' ones individually.

You could probably get about 2 elites per case. I got 1 box of series 2 from my dad's pharmacy and pulled the Ripken auto #2600/5000. I also pulled a Gooden out of series 1 rack pack box. Each elite was numbered to 10,000 (10 x 10,000 = 100,000 total) plus 7,500 for Rickey Henderson Legend & 5,000 for Ripken auto for a grand total of 112,500 total elite cards made.

I'd say that they are probably seeded about one every three cases.

In '92 ud high number i pulled a bench/Morgan auto that was numbered
To 2500

Listed odds on the pack were 1:10,000 packs

My goodness. I mean, I knew early 90s stuff was overproduced and all...

Anyone know how much 92 Donruss (or UD, or a print run number from any junk wax era set) was actually produced?

This is a lot closer to reality than 2 per case I'd think. I've talked to a lot of folks who ripped it in mass, it kind of seems like not quite 1 per case, but not as limited as 1 per every 2 cases...more like 2 for every 3 cases.

edited to add:

I've never pulled a '92 and have only pulled one '93 (Sheffield).
