So I am constructing an All Star Bowman Chrome PC. I was only going to do Autos only, but decided for the ones that DON'T have bowman chrome autos I will collect at least one serial numbered bowman chrome parallel. However, for guys like Hunter Pence who has 06 BC FY and 07 BC Auto which one would you get if you were in my shoes? Thanks for any input.

Re: Collection/Project Help and Question

if it was my project i would want their first bowman card period, regardless if the auto came the next year.

if you were only doing autos, that'd be a different story.

Re: Collection/Project Help and Question

Depending on your wallet, i think it would be nice to put together a run of first chrome refractors, all in the same slab.

they look good in a group....of course, at the end of the day....collect how YOU like

if you only want gold, then yea, that could get costly.

of the cards pictured, only Jesus was more than $50

Re: Collection/Project Help and Question

i think you should go for refractors.

refractors have just enough lore in the hobby, and they arent THAT costly.
the base cards are just too plain

will do.

First step: Get some cash. haha. some strasburg sales on debut, paycheck and maybe sell 1 or two of my lincecum plates and then my project can offically start.

I had to get the two zimmermans because he's one of my favorites and he's cheap right now ;)

Sexy. How much did it fetch you? I've always wanted a Verlander Chrome Au., but had it in my mind that he was too expensive. It's what I like to call the "Troy Tulowitzki complex" : main reason why I don't own many of Tulo's cards (Damn irrational complexes).
