I have had the opportunity to meet him a few times and get his autograph at special events around my county. He and John L. Williams are locals that made it in the NFL bigs after playing for the University Of Florida in the 80's. Jarvis played for both the Dolphins and the Giants in the NFL and is a member of the University Of Florida's Hall of Fame and their All Century Team(voted by the fans). He was voluntarily coaching at my high school this season because help was really needed! This is sad, 45 yrs old. The news was reported on 26 May.

Thanks for sharing the additional info, it sounds like he was a great person. 45 is way too young.
