I am in the process of removing several cards from BGS and PSA holders. What is the best way to go about this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Step 1: buy pumpkin
Step 2: buy M80s
Step 3: Place cards within holders in the pumpkin
Step 4: See below

Too funny, let me guess, they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Good video. Seriously what is the best way to do it.

Flat head screwdriver on the side of the holder on the seam. Tap lightly with hammer until initial split, then use screwdriver to pry apart.

I think....

You Need:
Flatehead Screwdriver
Rubber Mallet
Safety Eye Wear

1. Place Holder Face Down.
2. Hit Hard on the Upper Left Corner of BGS Holder, just to the left of the BGS tag.
3. Once small chip is removed, insert screw driver into seam along side of holder
4. Using hammer, softly pound screw driver head into older, twister to pop open holder
5. Use your hands to gently crack the rest
6. Remove card from plastic sleeve

Bruce Moreland (brucemo.com, people on CU might remember him) used to have an excellent guide on how to remove slabs. Unfortunately, it looks like his site is down

I just take a hack saw and cut the corner of the slab off by the grading label. Insert a screw driver and work my way around the outer edger cracking the case.

This has worked for me countless times. You might consider some eye protection.

This is the easiest way and takes me about 30 seconds from start to finish

I just use pliers and crack the top label area and then use a screwdriver.
