Specifically for Hank Greenberg, there are issues:

A42 - BV 100
B11 - BV 100
C14 - BV 200

What are the noticeable differences between these issues? Thanks all.

Some Wide Pens don't have a border, while another variation lacks the "Litho" text. The third variation deals with the color (or tone, since they are B&W.) I'm not sure if these variations apply to all players in the set, however.

The Greenberg is found in all 5 subsets within R314

R314-1 the cards will have "Litho in USA" in bottom corner (extremely common)
R314-2 has a border but no Litho line and will have cropping differences and the stock is B&W with no cream color. (tough)
R314-3 is same as R314-2 but without borders (tough)
R314-4 has no Litho and has a creamy color stock with a slight gloss (fairly easy)
R314-5 looks similar to the R314-4 but has cropping and contrast differences when compared to ea. other (extremely rare)

The R314-5 is extremely rare, Ive seen 2 in 27+ years. The Detroit Tiger players within this group of Minor Leaguers are not listed in some catalogs. There are now 12* (*maybe 13) Detroit players known in this rare subset.

Here is an example of R314-4 (on left) and R314-5 (on right)
note: slight cropping and contrast differences....... notice top of his right ear (left side ear), and also the crease on uniform on left side of picture. The overall color/contrast is much darker on the R314-4.

With all this said, the prices are going to be similar on all 5 cards in high grade, yet the R314-5 is probably 1000+X rarer than the R314-1.
