washington post made a mistake John Wooden grave ill

the washington post put it out and retracted!

On Thursday evening, the Internet buzzed with the news that John Wooden, the legendary basketball coach who led U.C.L.A. to 10 national championships in 12 years, had passed away at age 99. Twitter lit up with sage quotes from the beloved coach, and The Washington Post put up a simple, mournful headline: “John Wooden dies at 99.”

It turns out, however, that as those reports surfaced, officials said that Mr. Wooden was still alive, although he was in “grave condition” at UCLA Medical Center. Marc Dellins, UCLA’s director of sports information, confirmed Mr. Wooden’s deteriorating condition, but on the wishes of the coach’s family, he would not comment further. KLTA-TV in Los Angeles reported that Mr. Wooden had not eaten in the past few days and was very ill.

The basketball forum is nowhere near dead. I could start 300 John Wall threads and it would be just as alive as the baseball forum.

Yeah, I don't have the answers, but when there's still posts from May 25th on the first page... Maybe John Wall, Washington Wizard, posts
are just the spark it needs!

Not being morbid, (matter of hours, sounds like) but RIP John Wooden! What an amazing human being, not only a coach! He has done so much to support positive choices in today's youth!

Probably the saddest news in a long time in sports.
Greatest Coach ever to all, teacher to anybody who would listen. A man with every correct moral a man could want.
Wizard of Westwood ,
RIP John Wooden

You're serious? I don't mean to speak ill, but he was far from moral. He was much worse than Calipari.
