Lot of solo HRs so far. Cano, Votto, Fielder and Dunn among them.

Heyward with an RBI double as part of a 4 run 1st off Slowey and Ibanez has a HR to hopefully break out of his awful slump. 3-1 Phils so far.

Hughes on cruise control again too.

Grienke with his 1st win of season today! 2 HRs day for Votto, Wright, Fielder and Glaus. Cabrera with late HR (19) for the win.

And more beat-downs for Houston and Baltimore. Sigh.

His numbers are almost in line with his career numbers pre-2009. He's also seems to have cut back on the K's a bit recently (he's been far better in June than previous months, and although the numbers aren't great, most of the K's are from 3 really bad games.) Could be he's finally feeling comfortable in the batters box again, possibly the first time since the concussion.

And then he had a 2 run Walk-off HR in the 9th after the bullpen blew another one. Jackson pitched well again which is great news. Montero 2-4 in his first game back. Reynolds had 4 Ks though. Webb had 30 pain-free pitches today too.


Maybe Arizona can use all this good news as incentive to turn it around and make a little run to keep the division leaders in sight.
