I have never seen a grounds crew go to the mound in the middle of an inning to work on the mound, and it's happened what, 2 times this game for Strasburg?

Make him deal with it. Make him move from one side or the other of the rubber.

Screw this pampering ********.

Make him deal with it like just about every other pitcher would have to deal with it.

Maybe Strasburg needs to invest in some good cleats?

Hope the next batter hits a damn grand slam.

Dude...seriously? His front foot slide about three inches on that last pitch before they brought out the grounds crew. That's not safe.

He has several inches either way to move over and land in a different spot.

Pitchers generally have a set spot on the rubber they like to pitch from. Changing that could affect his game. But even if he does...then his foot is hitting the lip of that small hole in the mound and sliding even more.

As braden said, it happens more often than you think...

I've literally never seen a grounds crew go to the mound in the middle of an inning. Even when it's raining hard and they needed to throw stuff down on the plate area and mound, they've done it between innings.

This is the first time I've ever seen it in the middle of an inning.

Would this thread even exist if we were discussing a Cardinals' pitcher?

Get some class.

I'm not a Mod, so he can do just that. And I can respond to it in turn.

You expect that most people have played baseball at a higher level? I think that is just as dumb of an expectation as you claim this thread is.

1. There is a Strasburg thread already, you could have mentioned this in there.
2. No one goes into your Cards threads to whine.
3. You must like the attention.

I dont think its as common as some people here are suggesting, you guys make it seem like this thing happens weekly.

It happens enough times for me to remember seeing it several times but I believe has to be requested by the pitcher. And both analysts picked up on it too.

1. Why would I go into the game thread and 'whine' when I could just start my own thread and people have the option or not as to whether or not they want to click on it?

2. And people go into my Cardinals threads and wine ALL OF THE TIME about me even starting one, or how Brian McCann is better than Yadi, and Pujols is 97 1/2 years old, and blah blah blah.

3. I love attention.

Yes, I do have the right to start any thread I want to bitch about anything I want. And everyone has the right to post whatever they want in it in reply.

God Bless America!
