He deserves it - his last five starts have been excellent to say the least.

Now, let's just hope he can keep it up at Trenton.

3 years later he's finally got a little traction going. Not that this kid was ever super hyped but I was starting to think he'd be a huge bust on account of him never really being 100% healthy.

He will never live up the the hype.

If he becomes a 4-5th type starter I think the Yankees would be overjoyed.

He is a 25 year old prospect.

Yeah....thats what happens when you spend 3 years in college, get drafted and then are hurt for the next 2 1/2. Sure, he's no Phil Hughes but the kid has just finally gotten a chance to do well and is.

He's only 24 actually, and being in AA at that age is right on pace with his same-aged peers, which is remarkable considering how much time he's missed with injuries since being drafted out of college.

Probably my worst investment ever. Still, it's nice to see someone like him finally turn the corner.

What kind of hype was there?

I only remember "he's 7 foot tall!" hype.
First round draft pick....throws hard, 2 sport athlete with a decent ceiling. He was and could be a pretty good prospect.
