Coincidently, that's the same number of people at any time in Wrigley that think "ok, THIS is going to be the year!"

It's also the same number of people at Wrigley who couldn't name the starting lineup and are only there because where else is it acceptable to get drunk at 1 in the afternoon.

15,885 games played since their last World Series win. Incredible.
But this is the year Brad!!!

No. This is definitely not THE year. Just another in a long line of disappointments. I can't even begin to figure out this year's team. It's a very frustrating year for us fans, and Rickett's ticket prices really rubbed me the wrong way. I haven't gone to a game all year. Maybe I'll pick up some of the tickets season holders are dumping.

The Yankees were the first team to 9,500 Wins.

...and the Phillies will be the first to 10,000 losses.

It has been 72 games since the Yankees last World Series win.

Ya I was looking at tickets last week and they seemed like a lot at face value. Does anyone know how much tickets went up this year? I'm not gonna lie; I am starting to really not like the Ricketts. First ticket price increases, then the Toyota sign and the Kraft noodle. Ahhh ::facepalm::

And the Yankees were not the first to 9,500 wins.

Hmm, I guess I don't know what these stats are then.

Must only include the stats from each team as they are named today.

It didn't occur to you that the Cubs are only credited with just around 16 - 17k games in that list when the thread was started about their 20,000th game? ;-)
I'm guess that, officially, they count iterations of names as the franchise, but I'm not sure. Also, your link is pretty far behind for the Yankees, too. May wanna' steer clear of that site.

You guys see the special sleeve patches they wore for the game today? The had "20,000" on them with the second zero a round Cubs logo. Will be neat to see if any of those end up on cards. A one-day only patch.

If Kevin Burge gets a hold of a game used or replica jersey you can bet your bottom dollar they'll end up on some cards.
