Topps makes retail blasters for Bowman and BDP baseball, yet not for BC.

(Or at least if they do, I've never seen one.)

Does anyone know why not?

I know that they made retail packs for 2006 BC as I bought them as individual packs at a store with only 3 BC per pack.

Yes, they definitely make retail packs of BC, but I've never seen them in blaster form.

I get the feeling it has something to do with cost on Topps' part, since it's the only product of the three that contains strictly Chrome cards per pack.

They will make retail BC but it won't have

1) 1/1 printing plates

2) 1/1 Super-Fractors

3) Logoman Patch cards

Also 1:5 hobby boxes has an extra hit.

I realize this, but do they make them in 8-pack blaster form?

I don't believe they have in the past.

You have to realize the whole concept of blasters came about because of the rampant pack bending/feeling/weighing phenomena that was going down at the local target/wal mart/k mart. With the only GU/feelable/weighable cards in BC being hobby-only logoman patches & printing plates, it's much simpler to just issue BC in retail-box form. All the packs feel/weigh the same, so no need to make blasters.

That being said, I have no idea how Topps plans to issue thier retail BC packs.

great question.

also, anyone living in a populated area going to have any shot at picking up any of the remaining 2010 blasters released from A&G and later? (meaning with Cashburg in them)

im starting to thing its the latter.

the KMarts in my reach have had literally well over 100 Topps Heritage Blasters on their shelves.
Sell through them, and have had them replaced. Same goes for Topps Series 1

ive yet to see a Bowman, and just this week they are getting in Topps series 2's
