Having an unbelievable season thus far for the Red Sox.

It seems he needs to be in a contract year to put up the offensive digits that his stellar defense matches at third.

.340 average, 12 home runs, 52 RBI...yep, Theo...that's what $9,000,000 will getcha.

When you looked at his splits, this made sense. It's not even a home/away thing but just a ground/air (left/right/centre) thing. I'm sure the contract year helped but this was about as predictable as it gets.

He's not the first Mariner that left here to do well elsewhere..

He was good defensive at 3rd, but never hit like he did when he was a Dodger..
