These are the kind of mail days player collectors savor. It isn't every day when you can pick up 10 1/1's, a Bat Barrel Auto, and 2 Rare Cards (1 an Auto), plus a sweet patch. The prices on the cards make this mail day even better. I went ahead and listed them in order of significance and how much I like them from "worst" to best.

2004 Sweet Spot Sweet Impressions Plates Magenta 24 Eric Chavez/1 Cost: $10 (Really a 1/1 can be the "worst" :) )
2004SweSpo17a.png

2004 Fleer Legacy Ultimate 23 Eric Chavez/1 Cost: $25 (Really a 1/1 can be the 2nd "worst" too????, thats crazy!!! )
2004FleLeg3a.png

2004 Fleer Showcase Masterpiece 65 Eric Chavez Cost: $25 (Really a 1/1 can be the 3rd "worst" too????, He has lost his mind!!! )
2004FleSho3a.png

2004 Diamond Kings DK Combos Framed Gold 60 Eric Chavez Bat-Jsy/5 Cost: $10 (Ok that's a little better but can what is coming next really be better?? Oh Yes it can)
2004DiaKin10a.png

2004 Diamond Kings DK Combos Silver 60 Eric Chavez Bat-Jsy/1 Cost: $15 (Another 1/1 high on the list? There must be gold further down!)
2004DiaKin15a.png

2004 Diamond Kings DK Signatures Gold 60 Eric Chavez/1 Cost: $15 (These all rank about the same for obvious reasons)

2004DiaKin11a.png

2004 Diamond Kings DK Signatures Framed Silver 60 Eric Chavez/1 Cost: $15 (These all rank about the same for obvious reasons)
2004DiaKin14a.png

2004 Diamond Kings DK Combos Platinum 60 Eric Chavez Bat-Jsy/1 Cost: $15 (These all rank about the same for obvious reasons)
2004DiaKin13a.png

2004 Diamond Kings DK Signatures Platinum 60 Eric Chavez/1 Cost: $15 (These all rank about the same for obvious reasons)
2004DiaKin12a.png

2003 Playoff Portraits Autographs Gold 54 Eric Chavez/10 Cost: $15 (Completes the Auto Set for me, just need the Gold Base card /25)
2003PlaPor14a.png

2004 SP Game Used Patch HOF Numbers EC Eric Chavez/3 Cost: $15 (I have never seen this card before, and it is from one of my favorite sets, and I love the design/colors)
2004SpGam7b.png

2000 Upper Deck Statitude Gold Die Cuts S21 Eric Chavez/1 Cost: $15 (This is the first 1/1 I ever lost at auction, I believe it closed for $140)
2000UppDecSta3a.png

2005 Sweet Spot Signatures Game Used Barrel EC Eric Chavez/10 Cost: $15 (His only "on" barrel auto'd card, the card just shines!)
2005SweSpo8a.png

1999 Fleer Tradition Starting 9 70 Eric Chavez/9 Cost: $15 (You can't beat picking up older, rarer cards...Or Can you?)
1999FleTra3b.png

2001 Fleer Showcase Masterpiece 29 Eric Chavez/1 Cost: $25 (Apparently you can, by picking up the ONLY 1/1 made in 2001 and scratching it off the list making it only 2 cards short of completing the entire 2001 Print run!!!)
2001FleSho2b.png

These are the last 2 I need. Will pay finders fee for either!
2001 Donruss Elite Status 81 Eric Chavez/3 N/A N/A
2001 Fleer Triple Crown Purple 70 Eric Chavez $0.75 $2.00

Amazing pickups - and those are older releases. That has to fill some huge holes in the collection.

55_marlins_sp: Thank you

chippernate: Thanks!

17ROCKIES12: Yes they are all from the same guy. I sometimes wish I lived in California and could pick up these pieces directly since I have not seen a couple of these every appear on ebay. I do not have any 04 DK's except for the actual painting used to create the cards. I just couldn't justify spending $50+ on a 1/1 Auto that there are 25+ copies of

mlbsalltimegreats: Thanks

Be8el0ve: My first player collection was actually of Jeter, I pulled a 2001 Leaf Certified Materials Mirror Gold and kept collecting him from there for a couple months before I realized I would never be able to amass any type of large collection of him. So I sold off what I had and started collecting Chavez and never looked back.

blitzerlover: Thank you very much. I'm finally closing in on 100 1/1's!

drays4life: The 2001 fills a HUGE hole, and honestly never thought I would see it. The 2000 1/1 and the 2003 Auto are nice because they both push me over 90% overall on that year's print run.

nevermore: I agree, they are all steals except the 04 Showcase and Legacy 1/1's, I bought them in an ebay lot with the 01 Showcase for $75. I would have easily paid $100 just for the 2001 Showcase. I figured I saved aroud $200-$300 overall. Granted if they all popped up at once I would have had to choose what to buy, but being able to get them all at once and for a great price. I couldn't be happier.

Great stuff Chad!!

Lets compare some prices:

I paid $90+ for my starting 9

I just bought 5 new autos #/15 or less but paid $145 from the same seller

You did really well, congrats on the new pick-ups!

Chad you have had some incredible maildays but this is definitely the best one. 10 1/1's is simply amazing and to get them for those prices is even more amazing. the Sweet Spot Bat Barrel is simply gorgeous.

OK, can we all agree that this is really getting absurd? The level of unfairness is reaching epic proportions. I'm now personally committed to locating and hoarding the nicest Eric Chavez cards possible for my own collection, just so I don't have to see these obnoxious threads from you ever again.

I wouldn't complain if I had a single ounce of luck YTD. Hell, I can't even get the owners of cards I need to sell for 3x or 4x book value. I pray that I find a Vizquel card on the level of a Starting Nine for less than $15, so I can overnight you a huge poster-sized picture of the card and my paypal receipt to rub it in your face.

absolutely rediculous mailday congrats!

I can't even buy any single 1/1 of my guy for what you paid for all your 1/1's in this round combined and that starting 9 is a rediculous steal.. the only 1 I've ever seen of my guy sold a few months back well over $100.

jay1065: Thanks, I am not a huge fan of plates but I do like "framed" ones and this one is definitely one of the better ones.

Thumpersports: Thanks Buddy, I definitely can not complain about the prices. Although you may have paid more I am sure you are just as happy with them and happy to cross them off the list :)

bodiaz: Thanks, it will be a little while before I have anything near this impessive of a mail day again.

Pine Tar: Thanks, it has definitely become more sparce as to things that I need. Which is good and bad. Considering I'm not a huge fan of 1/1's, sometimes they are the only things available on a constant basis.

pghbuccos: Thanks! I love the barrel card, it just shines and glows in hand.

VizquelCollector: PM replied :)

1st4040: Thanks, it is the luxory of collecting a player that very few others collect or sellers really know about :)
