....if he doesn't get run support.

That is all.

In both of his losses, the Nats but a big 0 on the scoreboard. In his no decision, only one run was scored.

I apologize for being Mr. Obvious, but.....

or maybe this guy isn't as good as everyone thinks.

Kevin

PS Jamie Moyer would have 11 wins if he had some more run support.

Sadly, he is better than most people have seen yet.

And - no pitcher can win without run support.

If what I read on this message board is correct (and why would I have any reason to not accept everything here as fact?), then the big guy is a bottom of the rotation starter

Ace) Steven Stausburg
#2 and #3 Starters - interchangeable) Jamie Moyer and Bert Blyleven
#4) Cy Young
#5) God

Silly statement, what does that mean??? If he's not striking out 15 major league hitters per outing he just doesn't have his stuff?

Watching him pitch from the stretch seems to have been his Achilles so far this year. As soon as a runner gets on, it seems as if he loses his comfortability. Striking out 5 or striking out 25 won't matter if he can't learn how to handle the base runners. Which, in time, he will.

Strasburg's pitch sequence from his June 13 outting vs. Cleveland.

He loses about 2-3 MPH on his pitches with runners on. Also seems to rely on his 2-seamer over the 4-seamer with men on base.
