Where were there rumors that he would be moved to?

Where does he bat in the AZ line up typically? Is he a number 2 guy or does he lead off or does he bat in the bottom like 7th?

Really? I thought I read he wasn't pitching again until after the Allstar break.

EDIT: ESPN has him starting tomorrow on their website now.

He's been batting leadoff. He had been batting 5-6th for most of the season ,but has been showing off his speed at the top of the order. D-Backs are loaded with outfielders. Maybe they will move him while his stock is high. He just got a day off and is batting .381 this month. Not sure why he's out of the lineup.

No trade. No injury. Just a day off before the All-Star break.

d-backs website..

Chris Young will get a day off when the Diamondbacks open a four-game series against Florida on Thursday, with Cole Gillespie starting in center field.

It is only the fifth time Young has not started in the D-Backs’ first 85 games.

“He’s been pushing really hard,” manager Kirk Gibson said. “Everybody else is getting a break next week. He’s not.

“I thought it was a smart thing to do.”

Young is hitting .270 with 20 doubles, 15 homers, 59 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.

He also has exceeded his 2009 totals in RBIs and stolen bases, and tied his home run total.

One thing to look for – the D-Backs are 0-2 in games that Young has missed completely.

Young, the D-Backs’ All-Star representative, already has plans to bring his family to the Valley on Saturday, and the entire party will leave for the All-Star Game in Anaheim on Sunday night.

And yes, Young will take a video camera. He plans to film the home run derby competition.

Latos with a great game. He's not eligible for ROY award is he?

Naw, he pitched 2/3rds of an inning too much last year.

50 2/3rds.

The guy is really good. The game wasn't televised locally and I feel cheated I couldn't see his HR live.

Jimenez 15-1! Cy Young is in the books for him if he keeps this up!
Josh Johnson, Wainwright, and Lincecum will give him a run for his money but I would really like to see him win one.

And I also have to give props to Ervin Santana for a great start: CG 3H 1ER 4Ks and charge with the loss. :(
Danks pitched a hell of a game though....CG SHO 2H 0BB 7Ks

Gotta love pitcher duals
