The thread "Topps Heritage Strasburg 1/999 on ebay" saying that all proceeds will go to help Juvenile Diabetes got me thinking. Do you know which former/current MLB players had/have diabetes? Here is a list:

Ty Cobb - MLB - Detroit Tigers

Del Ennis - Major League Baseball

Bill Gullickson - MLB - Cincinnati Reds Pitcher

Dave Hollins - 1993 Phillies World Series Third Baseman

James "Catfish" Hunter - MLB - Pitcher, Baseball Hall-of-Famer

Jason Johnson - MLB - Pitcher, Cleveland Indians

Ed Kranepool - MLB - New York Mets

Mark Lowe - Major League Baseball

Brandon Morrow -Seattle Mariners Pitcher

David Pember - MLB - Milwaukee Brewers

Dan Reichert - MLB - Kansas City Royals

Jackie Robinson - Baseball Player

Ron Santo - MLB - Chicago Cubs legend

David "Boomer" Wells - San Diego Padres Pitcher

Dmitri Young - Major League Baseball

I have an insulin pump and I disconnect it when playing sports.

Cobb was diagnosed in 1959 with prostate cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and Brights Disease. Insulin was first used to treat diabetes in 1922.
