Ripken Collectors.... Iooss Mega-Jumbo?

I stumbled upon this at a local shop today. It's a humongous Iooss Cal Ripken card. It's the exact same photo as the normal card, but it's #/1000 on the back, comes in massive screw-down, and apparently was issued through Upper Deck Authenticated (comes with a UDA box). This thing is about the size of a sheet of paper, much larger than the normal Jumbo Iooss cards. Any info on these? Value?

Yeah, but this is WAY bigger than those. I wonder if all the Iooss players have one.

Oh I did. :lol:

I'd take a picture of it (too big to scan), but it looks exactly like every other Iooss aside from the numbering.

Just to throw this out there, I'd assume the larger jumbos are limited to just Ripken or maybe one or two others. Frank had a few of these jumbos in a screwdown issued, but I've never seen an Iooss collection version for Frank. His were Triple Crown Contenders (or something like that) and another that I can't seem to remember off the top of my head.

Were his the size of a standard sheet of paper? Or the standard Jumbo card size?

8x10 or better with a large 4 corner screw down from UDA. Hologram as well.

It was my understanding that the entire set was done in this jumbo form. I have the Ozzie from it and although it was more difficult to find than the regular version it wasn't impossible.

Neither of those is an Iooss. I've never seen a truly jumbo Iooss, just the oversize 3.5"x5" versions #10,000.

Neither of those is an Iooss. I've never seen a truly jumbo Iooss, just the oversize 3.5"x5" versions #10,000.

I realize, he was asking about the other UDA certified jumbos. These are the two I have.

Looked in the SCD catalog. UD had some large supers (8.5" x 11") in 92-93 that were serial numbered 1,000 to 10,000 copies each. But no mention of Iooss supers, although it does say that certain players autographed their Iooss 3.5"x5" cards and those were sold through UD Authenticated.

Large 8.5"x11" supers included 92 UD FanFest Ted Williams Super, 93 SP (5 card checklist), 93 UD (7 card checklist); 93 UD 5th Anniversary (15 cards)
