TTM Newbie

So, I thought I would try to send out some cards and get them signed.

How does it work? Do you send them a letter or something first and ask them if they would sign before sending the card? Or do you just send the card out and hope for the best?

Any advice would be appreciated.

heres what you do-

check to see if the player signs
send a letter, saying you appreciate the player and request their autograph
send the card- without any penny sleeve or top loader
send a SASE

right... they never get damaged if you taco it up anyway.
what will happen if you send in a penny sleeve is-
a)they just sign the sleeve b)they dont sign, as getting each one out would take more time. c)they try to get it out, but arnt used to working them like us and damage the card. (or put it back in a smear the auto)
