It ended up being a severe case of Wussitus that was resolved with a phone call to his mother. Apparently he was very homesick and needed that ever sought after "motherly kindness."

Brandon Laird 2-4 with 2 doubles (24) and 2 RBI (94).

Between AA Trenton and AAA he now stands:

.300 - 25 HR - 94 RBI - 24 2B - .361 OBP - .547 SLG - .908 OPS

With Dan Johnson being called up by Tampa, Laird is now the minor league leader in RBI among active players.
