When they first started this, my wife was invited immediately and she had only had her account for like 4 months with like 15 feedback. I've had my account since 98 or 99, and I just got it yesterday. I don't know how they picked people initially. I just know I could have had a LOT more money over the last couple years if I had it from day 1.

Yeah I'm not sure either. I know that I've taken some surveys for eBay in the past so perhaps they gave preference to people who took the time to fill out some of those? Other than that I think it must have been random. My account was only a couple years old and I'm certain there were more qualified eBayers out there but I still got invited.

For the record, I have no problem with spamming a referral link, especially if it's for a program that is actually very beneficial to anyone who chooses to use it.
