Rate my Fantasy Football Team Thread

Just thought I'd start a thread where people offer their opinion/advice on fantasy football. Here's my roster from a 10 team league

QB: Tony Romo
RB: Adrian Peterson
RB: Joseph Addai
RB/WR: Matt Forte
WR: Reggie Wayne
WR: Wes Welker

I think I have a pretty solid team for a 10 team league, let me know what you think and ill offer my opinion on other teams

Id start Palmer over Romo.

Did you select in the #1 spot? I would say your #2 rb needs major help. I don't think Addai, mcfadden, or slaton will do anything in fantasy this year.

I actually like your wr depth. I don't think you will be starting welker for very long.

I'd give your team a B+

Can I just say that 10-team leagues with small rosters are next to no fun. The same holds true for baseball. I love games where you actually have to know what you're doing to compete.

In leagues like that, one injury absolutely crushes you. If you lose your first rounder, you're done. However in leagues where each team has 5 WR, 3-4 RB, it's just an absolute blast and you get to pick guys that may actually *break out*.

With that said, I like your team in a yardage-heavy league. If it's standard to touchdown-heavy, you might have issues.

I had the #2 overall pick, yea I'm trying to get rid of addai and took a risk on both mcfadden and slaton. I heard welker is rehabing really well though, you don't think he'll pan out over the course of the season?

Looks pretty good to me. I think with Addai, he'd mainly get those goalline runs/TD attempts, but Manning will pass for 10 million yards or so and that cuts into Addai's play. Of course Welker is a stud, but is he gonna bounce back from the injury? I'd still pick him now anyways. Everyone else in the starting line up looks good to me. To me, AP and Wayne are 1st round pick with Forte being a 2nd/3rd rounder.

Reserves: I used Shiancoe as a strarter all season last year and he seemed to rack up the pts every game (Favre loved throwing to him)...question is, even though Shiancoe is very good in my opinion, will Tavarus throw to him (assuing gramps actually retires)? I still like Slaton, I just think/want to believe last season was a weird/off season for him.

So, dude...I think you did very well. I've only been playing FF for 4 years now, so I think I'm still a beginner here, so I may be stating the obvious...but Iwouldn't complain if I had this team. Good luck!

gldneagles311: Yea i'm concerned about Addai too, I just traded him and Bowe for Ryan Grant so I think that's a pretty big upgrade, Grant's a monster. I just started 3 years ago and I love it! It's addicting. But yea I still got hope in Forte and Slaton hopefully both of them can bounce back. I use ESPN, I just think it's the easiest to use compared to yahoo and since I have insider it works for me.

By the way, I'm a Yankee fan too...I'm living in Jersey

Team 1 is decent, I don't like Pierre Thomas that much since he usually doesn't get many touches a game, same thing goes for Brandon Jackson. Team 2 and 3 are both pretty solid in my opinion. I'd start Sims-Walker over Percy on Team 2. I also think Jonathan Stewart is going to have a better season than Williams. You have a good amount of depth on Team 3. I really like Forte this year I think he should have a bounce back season and I'm not too worried about Chester Taylor stealing TD's. Finley is a solid TE and Javhid Best should be starting for Detroit, he's definently a sleeper. Good luck with your league, I think you got a good shot with teams 2 and 3!

I feel the same way with teams 2 and 3 being the better ones....

ive only drafted one team so far, still have 6 more to draft.... I had pick 5. in a pre-rank draft, not a live one. Rest of my drafts are live.
