I collect a lot of HOF'ers rookies. I am looking for some high end cards too, mainly from 30's- 50's but any year really. Any ideas? Thanks

I would jump on Stan the Man his health is in decline
he makes little to no public appearances anymore
Also maybe Sandberg he may be managing the Cubs soon

Thats a REALLY nice looking Brett 7! Most under-valued vintage HOF RC has got to be '48 Bowman Warren Spahn

Please dont take this the wrong way, but I know your young so I'm going to offer some advice...

When it comes to collecting, which I assume is your main goal, it's always best to decide for yourself what and who to collect. You already know the type of stuff you want to collect, so what are you really asking here? Are you asking for specific cards/names? It's just much more rewarding to collect based on your own terms than to collect what others are telling you to collect. If your simply asking so you can obtain what someone else thinks is 'cool', so you can scan and post it here to be 'cool', then your hobby is going to be unfulfilled and short lived. You seem to have a good grasp on vintage, and I have little doubt you know who the 'high end RC cards' are from the era you wish to collect, so I just do not get why you would ask someone to tell you what card(s) to buy/collect...

Anyway, good luck!

as for the Brett, ty all for the kind words. it took me a long while to finally find one with good centering that wasnt a billion bucks. those old BVG Copper Flips only make the vintage look better imo. i wish theyd bring them back

I agree with Mat, you have to pick for yourself, and that will mean more to you long-term too.

As for value-wise, I still think Rickey Henderson's 80 Topps RC is still under-valued, even though prices are up from a coupla years ago. It's probably the last "vintage" Rookie Card and is hard to find graded 9+ for a good price.

And right now, with eBay and prices in general down, is a good time to buy vintage IMO.
